When a chainsaw can create habitat! Trees at the Reserves entrance that have been deemed structurally unsound have been given a second lease on life as habitat trees.
They have been trimmed back to a safe standard and will be carved out to create large, ready-made homes for our local birds and other wildlife by the very talented qualified arborist Leighton Stace from Stace Tree Care. The rest will be mulched for our Nature Play and Outdoor Learning Space. This takes upcycling to the next level!
All happening as part of our larger 'Grow a Hollow' Project.
